Dr. Kevin Arthur Rolle currently holds the esteemed position of Chief of Staff at Alabama State University, serving as a dedicated ambassador for the university's president. In this pivotal role, Dr. Rolle provides specialized services and support while setting the tone for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. With a career spanning over 30 years in higher education administration, Dr. Rolle brings a wealth of experience to his position.

Before assuming his current role at Alabama State University, Dr. Rolle was the Executive Vice President and Chief Operation Officer at Alabama A&M University. In addition to his administrative responsibilities, he held a tenured professorship in Educational Leadership/Urban Affairs, contributing to the institution's operational and academic spheres.
A relentless pursuit of knowledge and excellence characterizes Dr. Rolle's academic journey. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation, followed by a Master of Science degree in Leisure and Recreational Services, along with over 30 hours in Public Administration from Southern University. His educational pursuits culminated in a Doctorate of Philosophy degree from Colorado State University, where he specialized in Education and Human Resource Studies, focusing on Administration and Community College Leadership.

Throughout his career, Dr. Rolle has been deeply committed to expanding educational opportunities for non-traditional and minority students. From his early days as a minority recruiter to his tenure as an executive vice president and chief operating officer, he has tirelessly championed diversity and inclusion in higher education.
Dr. Rolle's leadership prowess is evident in his track record of accomplishments. During his tenure as the Vice President for Student Affairs at South Carolina State University, he spearheaded initiatives that significantly increased first-time student enrollment and secured funding to construct a state-of-the-art housing complex for undergraduate students. His portfolio encompassed various responsibilities, including financial aid, residential life, admission and recruitment, and student leadership development.
In addition to his administrative roles, Dr. Rolle has been actively involved in professional development programs and initiatives. He has participated in prestigious programs such as the Kettering Fellowship Program for Public Scholars, the Executive Leadership Summit at Hampton University, and the Harvard University Institute for Higher Education. His dedication to continuous learning and growth underscores his commitment to excellence in higher education leadership.
Outside his professional endeavors, Dr. Rolle is an active member of various professional and social organizations, including Sigma Pi Phi-Delta Chi Boule', Early Riser Kiwanis, and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. His contributions to academia and society have been recognized through numerous awards and honors, including the Outstanding Young Men of America and the U.S. Marine Corps Meritorious Promotion Award.
